What is the biggest change in the advertising industry that you see coming in the next 2 years?
Brands will spend more money building authentic conversations with their customer and investing in infrastructure that supports the efficiency in creating that vs. investing in advertising that is harder and harder to track.
What’s your biggest challenge with attracting and hiring talent in the past 2 years?
There are three problems we encounter:
1. Inability to execute – we need to spend an ample amount of time in skills training, which slows down the work from getting done.
2. Lack of ownership – we’ve encountered many contractors that don’t seem to want to take ownership of bettering their skills or their work. When you’re a contractor, it isn’t your clients responsibility to train you on best practices or push you to think outside the box. You need to take ownership of pushing your own boundaries.
3. Creative thought. There are so many tools and templates out there that allow us to be super efficient, but the lack of understanding that these exist inhibits the creative application to be leveraged on top of those tools. So tying back to point number 1, we end up investing heavily just educating on the architecture behind how things are built and how to think outside the box.
