What is one tip that you would give when it comes to advertising?

Henry DeVries: For services costing more than $1,000, the number one marketing tool is a publishing a book with insights and the number one marketing strategy is talk about the insights in the book.

Tamika Bickham: Tell your own story first and make sure you have an owned media presence. I always like to say…you can’t expect others to tell your story for you, if you don’t tell it first. And if you are advertising, you want to drive your audience somewhere where you can continue to engage them and, ultimately, stick around.

What are the major challenges that you (and/or other advertisers) face today?

Henry DeVries: Lacking the courage to narrow the focus to a niche, so that you advertise to less people but are more intensely interesting to those prospects.

Tamika Bickham: While we are not advertisers, but marketers, we face an ever-evolving media landscape that can be a challenge to keep up with and also explain to our customers. Consumers have so many options. There are more distractions than ever. It can be a challenge to keep your audience engaged.

How is the trend towards streaming television (CTV) impacting your advertising strategies?

Henry DeVries: Video is increasingly important every day
